I'm having an issue where when i change the justification of my text it will cause the text to dissappear when i change the scale. when I click on the text it still shows that i have all the other scales attatched to the annotation but if i change it from 1:100 to 1:500 the text disappears all together.

If an annotation object disappears when you change scales, it probably means that you have annoallvisible turned off and that the hidden annotation object does not have that scale added to it.

Change annoallvisible to on to see all annotation objects regardless of scale.  To add a scale, use the add/delete scales button on the  annotation tab.

Attach a sample drawing, that calls out the object(s) that disappear unexpectedly when you change the Annotation Scale.

Sounds like AutoCAD isn't automatically updating your annotative scale list.   Try setting ANNOAUTOSCALE to 4 and see if that helps.  This will automatically add scales to annotative objects when you change the scale.

Try ANNOAUTOSCALE and set it to 4

That should add the annotatation scale to the text when you change scale.
