align objects in a straight line

Hello,

I have a row of individual squares that I am trying to put in a strait line so it pretty much looks as straight as a linear array. I've tried 'ALIGN' but seems to work only on lining up objects for merging together. what command can I use to do this?

I attempted to use the lisp file, but every time I select the line and then the boxes, it doesn't seem to perform the function. I'm using AutoCAD map 3D. would that have any affect?

It should work with what you have.

I double checked the LISP 2015 version  of autoCAD I have. It worked perfectly, but for some reason, it is not working on Map 3D which is the 2017 version.

just figured it out. my objects that I'm straitening have to be blocks before it can work.  Thanks for the help!
