ADVICE: I need to view and edit CATIA files

Hi there,

I'm working in a small business with sheets metal molds and our partners share with us files through CATIA. So, we are looking for a software which is able to open and then allows us to edit something. Is AutoCAD a solution? Or do you know some other programs that will help us?

kind off ... you can from IMPORT dialog insert those CATIA files .

There's another autodesk program which will be better than autocad?

AutoCAD does not read/open CATIA files. You will need CATIA., or ask the CATIA file creators to save files down to a file format you can use with your software (or AutoCAD if you want to go there). But you are comparing apples to moon rocks here, you and your client (CATIA files sender) need to talk more and do some testing together.
