ADT 2005

I just lost an old computer due to failure.  Bought a new one - Yay!  Installed ADT 2005, and I seem to have incompatability issues.  My new computer runs Windows 8.1.  Seems that ADT 2005 is incompatible, yet Autocad 2004 or 2005 is not.  Is there any way to run the autocad 2004 program that is apparently inside ADT without actually running ADT so that I can keep using this seat?

ADT2005 was designed for Windows2000 and Windows XP. That's before Vista and Win7 and Win8.0 were viable.

Visit Microsoft's website and search for tips on how to run old software under Windows 8.1 and experiment. it may or may not work. Good luck.

.dll files stand for dynamic link library, It's how the applications runs through your system.

When it say's it couldn't be found, it most likely crashed because directory standards no

longer line up. I recommend you run an xp simulator to get the older application to run.
