Adjusting AutoCAD text with ruler - Remove total width popup

Autocad 2020 Windows 10

Long time user, first time posting. Never seen this before, but it is driving me insane for the last few weeks.

When I adjust my mtext width with the ruler, a popup displaying the Total Width: xxx comes up on a different monitor. Every single time I look over to the other monitor because something flashes just for it to be this popup.

How do I turn this off?

I don't see that even with DYNMODE on.

Dynmode is set to 0.

Yes, it's not DYNMODE and I have no idea what else it could be.

Exactly why I am stumped. I can't find a setting or even a reference to this problem anywhere.

Are you using vanilla AutoCAD or one of the verticals?

Any 3rd party add-ins?

AutoCAD 2020. No 3rd party add-ons.

I have to correct something. I do see it now, on my second monitor. It was so subtle that I wouldn't have ever noticed it unless I was looking for it. I'll try to see if I can control it's display at all.

I [also Acad2020, no overlays] see that right there by the dragging place:

not on my second monitor.  [And I do have the whiter double-arrowheaded thingie overtop of those two triangles, which doesn't come through in a Snipping-tool image].  I have no idea why the position of yours would be different.

I do find, in case this might be relevant [probably not], that if the Mtext is set for no columns, or if it's set for either Static or Dynamic columns and I'm at the far right of multiple columns, I get that Total Width wording.  If I'm at the far right where there's only one column, or at the right of a column that's not the right-most among multiples, with the diamond symbol instead of the two triangles, I get the mere Width wording:

It is set to no columns. Who knows, maybe this has been here all along and just somehow it moved to an empty space on my second monitor and now it drives me crazy.

that always appears on your Windows Main Display. Goto Windows Settings > Display and select the other monitor and make that the Main Display and you'll see that popup appear there.
