i need to figure out how to add a flat part onto my cylinder, its so a bolt can go through the hole and instead of sitting up against a round surface it will sit flush with a flat one.

Subtracting or Union an extruded rectangle will do the trick I think.

Can you post your drawing ?

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I agree with @-FDC- that a box could be subtracted from the cylinder face. I don't know the exact sizes or orientation but I made a quick video that I hope helps with the process.
