Add + or - sing in my dimensions

Hi,

I have done an asbuilt of a liftshaft  now I want to add + or - signs to my dimensions. 

if the my asbuilt point is inside the liftshaft the dimension should be + if the point is outside the lift shaft it should be -. 

I looked online but could find anything. 

I have attached my drawing with dimension on them.

please advise

A couple ways to handle it without creating a custom LISP or VBA routine. There isn't a way for AutoCAD to automatically know which one you want.

The first would be to create 2 dimension styles: one with a + suffix; the other with the - suffix.

Another way would be to add the + or - in the dimension Properties under Suffix once the dimension is placed. You can select all the dimensions on the outside of the column and add the suffix for all of them at the same time.

you can do that after preparing two dim style for -/+ symbols then follow attached image.
