Add length to dimension style

I have a dimension style that Id' like to display @ whatever the real length with additional x inches - as a single number not as x being the suffix.

Something similar to the scale factor...

Is this possible?

Hi @zzz144,

If I understand your question, you might have to make your first dimension and then have a second dimension with a formula field that grabs the length value from the first one and then add the extra inches.

Can you share a sample drawing with your dimstyle so I can take a look and verify my suggestion?

Its really good to see a dedicated AD person here.

Ok so I wanted to make a sample file yesterday but was tight on time.

Can you tell me what dimension you used that displays the popup? Double clicking on my value does nothing...

Hi @zzz144,

As I show in my video, I fist place my actual dimension in the drawing (probably on a non-plot layer) Then I create new dimension, select the text and replace it with a field. Then I link the field to the measurement value of the real dimension. I copy that link and paste it into the Field formula and add the extra length value.

Never mind, got it.

You just replaced its value with a field.

How do I remove the gray background mask?
Fractions seem to be inline rather than horizontal but not a big deal...
