ACAD 2024 commads like BLOCKS and CUILOAD and promted in command line instead of the normal pop=up

I have AutoCAD 2024 through my company. After getting a new computer and installing AutoCAD, I noticed that some of my commands, (CUILOAD, BLOCK, etc.) don't have the pop-up window show up anymore, I am prompted instead in the command line. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting defaults, making FILEDIA 1, ATTDIA 1, CMDDIA to 1, tried hiding the command line just in case, etc. but none of these items have helped. I had this same version of AutoCAD on my previous laptop and same monitors so I don't believe that screens are an issue either. I would really appreciate additional guidance

The commands CUILOAD or BLOCK have no command line versions so CMDDIA doesn't influence them. What prompt (exactly) do you get? Or is the expected dialog just not displayed? Isn't it moved to your second monitor? Try to reset your AutoCAD profile.

Thank you for your response, please see attached images. When I would type in BLOCK, in this example, on my old laptop, a window with more options would pop up on the screen. Now there is only one line in the command line. I am trying to get the pop-ups once more. I have tried to reset my profile already. I am also using the same screens I used for my old laptop so I don't think the display is the issue, but I have looked at my other screens with no luck.

My ATTDIA, DIAFILE, CMDDIA, & PICKFIRST are all set to 1. I have toggled them to 0 and back to no avail. Also when I do try to do the Alt-Tab, the "move" option is grayed out, so I assume that means the dialog box is not popping up at all.

It looks like your commands are redefined in some add-on app. Try to invoke the original command by typing ._BLOCK. The behavior you describe can be achieved either by:

(command "BLOCK")

or by:

(initcommandversion 1)

BLOCK

I guess that a failed (or faulty) add-on app may also silently start the temporary toggle "initcommandversion" so that the next command you invoke is switched to its command line version. What happens if you type it for the second time?

@sesa695689 Can you perform the clean uninstall and Reinstall of AutoCAD 2024 and verify if it works.  See Clean uninstall of AutoCAD or verticals.
