ACAD 2014 Wont allow me to copy paste

I've encountered a problem in the recent past that was easily solved, and now I'm experiencing the same problem. I cannot remember how it was solved the first time, so if anybody much smarter than me can please assist, that would be fantastic.

Little more info needed. Is this a problem copying between drawing or in the same drawing? Could this be a PICKFIRST problem if it's in the same drawing?

Is the data actually getting copied to the clipboard when you think it is?

Easy way to see.
Open Windows Explorer
In the address bar, type in %TEMP% and press enter.
Now sort the files in there by date, newest at the top.
Leave this open, go back to AutoCAD and "copy the data to the clipboard"
Go back to the Windows Explorer.... there should be a new .DWG file at the top of the list of files (with a name like A$C3FED2FE5.DWG)
If not, then AutoCAD is not writing the data out, which means it has nothing to paste in.

Sorry I didn't get right back to you, and thanks for the reply. It's a problem with both the same drawing file and external pasting. I experienced this problem a few months ago, and someone had a solution right away and so I unfortunately forgot what it was.

Using "pickfirst" does not work in either binary position.

It's there at the top of the temp list. I would assume if there was some sort of ACAD error, the command line would indicate as such but it behaves as if the command was executed. I think there is some setting that got changed somehow.

Though that DID help, the issue still reappears frequently. I'll keep my eyes peeled for anyone who has this same problem and had discovered an AutoCad settings solution. I understand that Copy/Paste is an at-large windows function and not within an application, but I remember someone replying to a request for help on this matter months ago and it worked. Thanks for the suggestion.
