A block appears differently between Model space and Layout space

Hi Everyone,

I have just had an issue which I have seen before.

I had a block in Model space and made a layout looking at it.

I edited the block through block editor. I moved an object, saved, and got out.

Now the weird thing happened. the object inside the block appears where it intended in the layout space, but the object appears to get passed further as much as I edited in Model space. The same block reflect the edited effect differently between two spaces.

The even more weird thing happens when I measure distance between objects. When I measure distance between other objects seems fine but between any object and the moved object, the measurement is nonsense.

Please see the attached the video, and someone tell me what is going on and how I can fix this.

I found the cause of the error. The object was located in 3 dimensional location within the block, not in 2D. So the Z location was different from other objects.

This is something good to know.

Sorry, I am answering to my own question.

Hi,

I guess the more important issue is: In Model tab, your view is not perpendicular to the (2D)drawing plan.

Make sure your UCS matching your needs, for standard 2D content, for usual it is UCS WORLD

Now, run PLAN current
