3D polar tracking breaks off

I just started using the 2023 trial version and having an issue in the 3D, when I want to draw a rectangle on an existing surface, I snap point A and drag to point B then drag along the Y axis and enter a value, My rectangle should have the size of the X axis and the value of the Y axis I entered right? Instead my entered value is going for the X axis, why is that? I'm not able to draw by tracking unless I enter both x and y values. Any help? Thanks.

Hi @johnDDMLU,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Its kind of hard to tell with only part of the screen shown, but it looks like maybe one of the selection points is snapping to a different point than intended (the green highlighted pick box) or the entered length is not in the expected units (for example inches versus feet).

Try temporarily disabling OSNAPS or verify the drawing units are what you are expecting them to be (-DWGUNITS command).

All the best,

I'm hovering over the point until the polar tracking is activated then extending in the right direction and entering the value. The problem is only when extending towards the Y axis, when it's towards the X axis, it works perfectly fine.

My first selection is at one of the corners of an extruded rectangle surface, my second selection is the opposite corner and I'm extending towards the Y axis. Staying on the same surface or not it doesn't change anything. However after trying to switch between OSNAPS looks like it worked, will continue and let you know if it happens again. Thank you very much.
