I'm Struggling with two things:

1. Project a need to convert to 3D to 2D in layout space wont appear when i Click Base it shows Select file diagram, as shown in image.

@NEL15AS941219 ,

Consider posting your drawing.

Maybe adding or creating another 3D solid might work. Are you using information from another software?

If there isn't anything in my model space to select, then it defaults to a file open dialog.

Here are two links that could help:

Base view needs Solids in the model. You have "Body's". I don't know where they are coming from and AutoCAD doesn't be able to handle with it.

Body or Solid it doesn't matter.

The only problem is that the orientation is not wright. I think myself you need the command PLAN.

What is it that you want - a flattened 2D drawing of the construction (so lines) or a viewport with the construction in the wright orientation (seen from a above?)

I would like to viewport with the construction in the wright orientation so that the 3D view cube top view Wil show the object top view, as at the moment the drawings view cube shows top view at south west view.

>>Here<< a suggestion how I would do it. This should answer both your questions.

This way you can create as much different 2D-views as you need.

(If you can't see the video immediately, wait some minutes and try it again later. Autodesk's server seems to be busy)

In short words:
- delete unwanted / unneeded elements (some lines)

- adjust the orientation of the model in the WCS (using the 3DAlign command)

- create as much copies of the model as you will create different views (because the next step will remove the selected 3D-Objects)

- Create the flat geometry using the flatten command

Additional note (off topic):

In your model are a lot of parts which are overlapping each other (modelling errors). So you also will get (partially) wrong 2D-views.

OK the best way  to this is the following.

First you have to get a better view of the construction in modelspace. Get toolbars VIEW, UCS, Visual Styles and Orbit en pull them into your drawing area - is the quickest way.

Then Select Visual Style conceptual.

Then you have to get to a specific point in the construction and set the UCS 3point selection as shown.

Then you select the whole construction and controlX is (cut). Everything is now gone. Then you set the UCS to World UCS and press Ctrl V (Paste) - now everything is an orthogonal way positioned.

Succes

I have made a reply how you could do this on the forum, but I accidently replied to another person on the forum.
Look at my reply.
With Cut and Paste you can put the whole construction on the correct plane.
It is always better to use the world UCS because they correspond with the view cube.

I have had serious bad experiences with the FLATTEN command.
The best way to get a 2D drawing from a 3D model such as this is FLATSHOT.
There you can change whatever you want to get from it.
What I find odd is that you always have to change the properties of the obscured lines, for example linetype from continuous into dashed.
It would be nice if that was changed. Leave them out in this particular model.
