3D Clip Issue: Dots Throughout Viewport In Model Space

I use 3D Clip farily often to do drawings of WaterSlide Towers. Every time I do a drawing, I get a bunch of dots throughout my viewport when useing the 2D Wireframe view. When I switch the view to Wireframe, these dots disappear but still plot for some reason (see attached).

Anyone have a fix for this?

Hi @jturnerJK6NH

Welcome to the forums.

The dots you see are the wires from your wireframe model. I'm guessing that in each place you see one it will be the wire from a piece of steelwork?

For instance if you have a 100x100 box 1000 high based at an elevation of 0 (and looking in plan). but your clips are at an elevation of 100 and 900  when shown in 3dhidden it will show as a box. However when you see it in wireframe you will only see the 4 dots in the corner which are the wires running vertically.

That's correct, but I can't seem to keep those from plotting.

Hi @jturnerJK6NH

Put them on a layer that you can then freeze in the viewport??

Changing the layer isn't an option. I can't put each piece of a steel framed tower on a different layer.

Hi @jturnerJK6NH

If it is not an xref, then your other option is to hide the solid with "HIDEOBJECTS"
