2027 - toggle button for missing xrefs

The toggle button for missing xrefs it's always ON when the xref is missing.
How to replicate:
- open a dwg with missing xref
- at the opening, a message appear (One or more references are missing...)
- click open xref palette
- the toggle button is turning automatically on

If I turned off and open the drawing again, the problem is repeating.

In there any variable to use in order to disable this (to turn off for good xref missing toggle button)?

Thank you

Hi,

@w64bit

You may need one of the follow:

  • Try the XREFNOTIFY system variable = 0
  • Try the TRAYNOTIFY system variable = 0

Hey there @w64bit , have you had time to try one of the suggestions @imadHabash made?

If you did, it would be helpful if you mentioned which one worked for you so if another community member was having the same issue.

I'll help you out.  I tried, and neither works. This is a very annoying feature that was added and forced on us (Shocker.), because in order to fix it, you have to go toggle it off.  Just don't want it.  PLEASE stop fixing what isn't broken.  But for now, nope...we're stuck, and no one will care or fix it, I'm sure

Which toggle button are you referring to?

Can you do a screenshot of it & post it here?

w64bit,

Maybe what your wanting is to Keep all your XREF information, even if you don't want them to load.

Try Right Click UNLOAD on the XREF's you don't want to see any ERROR's pop up on you when you open your drawing.

If ever you want them back on live, Right Click RELOAD. See image pasted.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, JRR!

do you have a screenshot of the button you are referring to?  I'm not sure that I know what the toggle button for missing xrefs even looks like (it may be that I've seen it, just never referred to it that way before)
