2024 Crashing

I have 2 issues with vanilla AutoCAD 2024.

1.  2024 keeps crashing with: FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Delayload "cpprestsdk.dll" Module Not Found Exception at 9276FDECh.   I've tried disabling all of my vb based add-ins to see if that helps.  

2.  When it crashes, the file created DRAWINGNAME_recover.dwg is ALWAYS unusable.  In previous releases, I could just open this file and save it as the original filename to get back my lost work.

Do you need to do this to stop the crashing? Worth testing

Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT: reverting to DirectX11 may help.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables.

Start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort, then start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....
