2018 - missing commands in parametric ribbon dimension panel

Hello,

We updated to Autodesk product Design Suite Ultimate 2018.

In "vanilla" Autocad, up to version 2017, in the parametric ribbon, Geometric and Dimensional panels where both showing 3 commands for showing/hiding constraints. Now, in 2018, only the Geometric panel shows those commands, the Dimensional panel does not, see image.

Is there anything, like a variable or registry fix, that can get those commands to show in the Dimensional panel?

Thanks a lot.

Right-click at the end of that PARAMETRIC tab and ensure all the panels are actually turned on first.

All 3 panels pertaining to Parametric are visible per the snapshot. ("Geometric", "Dimensional", "Manage").

The issue is that the missing commands were inside the Dimensional panel, now they are not.

Hi,

I would try a reset settings to default or reset/restore ACAD.CUIX in the CUI-editor ... as my AutoCAD 2018 has these icons.

Hi,

>> I have lost all of my ribbons.

Then either your installation of AutoCAD is defect or the user account does not have enough permissions in Windows or you just need to switch to another workspace and back to the original one:

If that all fails try a reset settings to default (described >>>here<<<)

HI @Anonymous,

These show up in my Parametric Ribbon.

After resetting the CUI you indicate that you lost your ribbon menus. Can you type RIBBON to see if they return?

Hi,

Have you seen my post with the suggestion to switch to another workspace and then back to your original one?

Hello,

Installation was clean off the web. We had tons of custom settings which we had to migrate from 2017 through the appropriate Migrate Custom Settings app. I guess the migration got corrupted somehow, so that the panel ended up with missing commands.

We just fixed the problem, we rebuilt that panel by reinserting the missing commands: Cui -> ribbon -> panels ->parametric-dimensional, then new sub-panel, new rows, assigning commands tweaking the buttons, then save everything as a new Workspace. etc.

Lots of painstaking and manual work. Thanks anyway.
