2017 Sheet Set Key.reg file needed

My sheets set manager in AutoCAD 2017 is blank.

The AcSm registry key is missing from R21.0

I see that registry key under R20.0

Is there a file or fix for this like I found for previous versions?

Looks like you did the MIGRATE thing: reset R2017 to factory settings and see if that helps.

Yes I migrated settings from 2016. BUT I have also tried a repair install and a re-install with the results. Is the file on the media kit usb drive?

This morning I uninstalled 2017 and re-installed it fresh. Started it without migrating so I assume factory defaults. I tried opening the sample sheet set and nothing appears in the sheet set manager. Checking the registry the AcSm key is not there. The R20.0 keys are still listed under the ObjectDBX even though I have uninstalled version 2016. See screen shot. Ideas?

Hi dasmus,

So, your problem continues!  You can try a Reset Setting to Default to get back to factory.  Otherwise try a clean uninstall and reinstall. Take a look at the install log and see if there are any failures.

Tried the clean uninstall/reinstall to no avail. Where is the log file located?

Hi dasmus, your install log should be located here:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp

(%temp%)

Would it not be possible to send the missing registry keys similar to the fix found here?

HI @dasmus,

That is of course an option but I am concerned that if your install failed at some point that you might have other issues.  You are of course, at your own risk, welcome to try this step.

I would personally be more cautious and go with the more lengthy process of a clean uninstall and reinstall as the article mentions at the bottom.

Did you locate the install log file to see what might have failed? That might help in determining which route to choose.

HI @dasmus,

I am sorry this is turning into a real pain for you. Here is an AKN Article that outlines the next steps to go through in order to get things back to normal.

I should have mentioned that I am dealing with the Building Design Suite. I have uninstalled 2017, material libraries, Architecture, and MEP. Should I also uninstall 2017 versions of Naviswork, Revit, Showcase, 3DS, etc? Desktop App?

HI dasmus,

I would recommend uninstalling the whole suite unless you have customizations that are hard to replace.

UGH - Same issue after spending ALL day uninstalling. I did all the steps including deleting the registry keys.

HI @dasmus,

I am sorry that this process was not successful. I assume that you did not do a migration too.

At any rate, did you try putting the registry keys back in for the Sheet set?

This is really strange as the reinstall should recreate the keys. Do you have anti-virus running? After manually setting the registry keys I would also try disabling your Anti-virus to see if that helps.

Please update your status after you have entered the keys.

I did not migrate or apply any of the service packs. AutoCAD will not even open. The registry keys I delete were re-created and the ObjectDBX keys all appear inthe local machine tree

Hi dasmus,

Which operating system are you using?

Can you send me the install log so we can see if there was an incomplete install?

Are there any error messages when you launch AutoCAD?

Can you try a Diagnostic Startup?

Windows 7 Professional. The installer did not return any errors after installing. Attached are 3 log files.
