I am tearing my hair out here. I set up some simple drawings in the model space, using mm as my units. I then set out squares and rectangles at various sized e.g. 10200mm by 7500 mm (equivalent to 10.2m by 7.5m in reality). I then want to plot these to scale to A3 or A4. I create a viewport of each shape and place it onto a layout tab. I then try to apply scaling to it e.g. 1:100 (you need to do this backwards it seems in autocad for mac so I choose 100:1 e.g) so it should be scaled (by my simple mind) to 102cm by 75cm when plotted/printed.
I have tried to do this two ways. One by editing the page layout settings to show scaling 100:1, and secondly by using properties to select 100:1 as the scale. Not both together. The first seems to work, but when printed out the drawing does not scale properly - the drawing is not 102cm by 75cm. The other method seems to remove the drawing completely from its viewport - it disappears!
HELP!!!!
