Hi There, I am relatively new to Autocad - very familiar with Microstation and Solidworks.
I am trying to work with a georefenced DSM file, and have come across a strange issue. The file, displays the elevation, latitude and longitude correctly after selecting "world UCS". The coordinates pulled from a point correspond with google maps however if I measure distance across the diagonal of the surface model it returns just several mm rather than the 600,000 or so expected.
My question is, how can the CRS be interpreted correctly however the scale be off? Would they not be dependant on each other?
Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? File can be downloaded here https://hoverscape.box.com/s/zxmm80trllsiu30ftti68cde6gnop0nq
Can AutoCAD for Mac even work with such file types or do I need to look towards the civil targeted programs? I am simply trying to plot the coordinates and corresponding points in several locations within this file.
Thanks in advance!
