Using formula \U+00B2 (student version)

Hi, in student version the formula to write 2 (\U+00B2) ou 3 (\U+00B3) above doesn't work is this correct? When I need to place the 2 above the text using the formula \U+00B2, a ? appears. This has to do with the license being a student license.

Hello, and welcome.  I'm not sure that you need the parentheses on these for superscript.  Try \U+00B2 or \U+00B3 and see if that works.  Good luck!

I don't use the parenteses in the software. There many characteres that the autocad recognises but the formulas I write appeares with ?.

It's worth noting that the software I use is for Mac; however, I tested it with a friend who has a standard Mac license, and it works perfectly.

This makes me wonder if it has anything to do with the student license.

And when you tested it on the other computer, the font they were using vs the font you were using on your computer are 100% identical and the same? Was the test done in your own DWG file or their own DWG file?

Your exact AutoCAD year version is...?
Your exact MacOS version is....?

And for the other user, both answers are what?

If you need to add superscript in MTEXT, you can use a button on the MTEXT Visor:

Just type " (or 3), select it and pick on "Superscript" button on the MTEXT Visor.

Hi,

I sent my file to my friend and he tested in my file. I use the formula in the attributes and not in mtext.

In the mtext command I can, but I wanted to use it as an attribute.

I tested in Autocad 2024 and 2026, the same for the other user. My MacOS is Sequoira 15.6, and the same for the other user.

Hi @a37641 ,

In order to be able to use unicode hex values, such as "\U+00B2" you have to use text style attributes based on True Type font, but not SHX font as showing on your screenshot.
