Unwanted linework appears when opening drawings in AutoCAD 2016 for mac

When you open an older drawing file in AutoCAD 2016 , the drawing displays unwanted linework that cannot be selected or erased. The linework appears to be randomly displayed. this issue has been solved for windows platform but it seems to be different for mac.

Any idea how to solve it ?

Thanks

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

It is knowing problem for some kind of graphics cards.
Try to set system vatiable LINESMOOTHING to OFF:
At the command prompt type LINESMOOTHING and hit Return, than select OFF option. Restart AutoCAD.
Now test your drawings.

BTW, which graphics card do you have?
I'm asking, because I know that for some graphic cards LINESMOOTHIG is turned off by default.
