Uninstall of AutoCad 2015 for MAC from TimeMachine Backup

Received the following information from Autodesk regarding finishing a complete uninstall of Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 for Mac - MAC OSX - EN

Issue: Application was migrated from Time-Machine Back-Up

Mac OS 10.10.1

2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Mid-2011 Model

As you need specific instructions on how to completely uninstall AutoCad 2015 for Mac, we would suggest you please follow the instructions below to uninstall product from your Mac:

1. Navigate to the product directory (by default, /Applications/Autodesk/ [product name and year]/).
2. Drag the application to the trash.
3. Open a Terminal window (by default, /Applications/Utilities) and execute the following commands, where <productKey> is your product key and <productyear> is the version of the software you are uninstalling:

adlmreg –u S <productKey> <productyear>.0.0.F
adlmreg –u N <productKey> <productyear>.0.0.F

Followed instructions listed above, the following error messsage is being generated:

Terminal:

Last login: Tue Feb 3 14:19:40 on console
iMac:~ user$ adlmreg –u S <productKey> <2015>.0.0.F
-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `<'
iMac:~ user$

Is anyone able to provide specific support as to how to overwite ghosted permission files in order to reinstall the full licencse of AutCad 2015 for Education?

Thank you

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Indeed the command you entered in the Terminal is wrong:

...

it should look like this:

adlmreg –u S 777G1 2015.0.0.F

plus, I don't understand why tech support asked you to trash AutoCAD application, because there is a speciall application which removes AutoCAD: "Remove AutoCAD.app" - you can find it in the same folder as AutoCAD.

iMac:~ user$ adlmreg –u S 777G1 2015.0.0.F
-bash: adlmreg: command not found
iMac:~ user$

OK, now bash can not find adlmreg executable, so -
I think it is better to use the instructions from here:
http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2013/02/reset-standalone-licensing-on-the-mac.html
It is about AutoCAD 2013, but the same applies to 2015 version
