Trouble with extruding curve

I am new to AutoCAD for Mac, but have experience in CAD. I am attempting to extrude a curve on my drawing. When I extrude, it only extrudes the outline and leaves the object hollow. Is there a step I am missing? I attached the screenshots of what I am looking at and the file as well.

From your description alone... your content is all individual lines and arcs, aka "outlines", there is no 3DSolid "object" content to extrude as a filled-in non-hollow object.

What are you trying to create exactly?
