Exporting 1:1 render? Using Mac and 2021 version

Hi everyone, I have a .dwg file of an air-conditioning unit. I need to export a render at 1:1 scale at a chosen rotation view of my choice. There does not seem to be any render-out option at all?? and the export to PDF isn't working. Basically, my client user needs a full-scale printout of the air conditioner unit for its engineers to take onsite.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you want real rendering with lights and shadows, then on Mac you have to use Autodesk cloud render:

https://gallery.autodesk.com/a360rendering

If you just need view with Realistic Visual Style, then create viewport in the layout with Realistic Visual Style and "print" Layout to PDF.

To export Layout to PDF, you need to create Page Setup with one of the build-in "Autodesk PDF" printers and as soon as you select "Plot" button in Plot window, you will be able to save Layout to PDF file.

You can also use Preview button in Plot window to open PDF in Preview app, then you can save it as PDF.

Thanks @maxim_k .

How would I submit a cloud render from Autocad?

@Anonymous ,

You cannot do this from within AutoCAD for Mac directly.

So:

Go to https://gallery.autodesk.com/a360rendering

Sign in to your Autodesk account:

Click on NEW in the upper right corner of the page:

Select "Upload a file ..." on the next page:

On the next page pick on "Select a File" button to select DWG file from your Mac

After the drawing will be uploaded, adjust rendering settings and wait for the rendering to complete.
