TABLE TEXT - PLOT TO PDF PROBLEMS

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm having a problem with the text within my cells. I am using an AutoCAD table (not excel import). Running AutoCAD for Mac 2017.

My text within each cell has been set with vertical and horizontal margin spacing, same text size, style, etc.

Within MODEL and LAYOUT my text appears within each cell and does not overlap other cells.

When I PLOT to PDF the text is now overlapping into cells beside one another. It is no longer aligned within each cell.

Does anyone have any insight on this problem? I can't locate any answers within a google search.

I have attached a screen shot of my PDF below.

Thank you!

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi Lisa,

I think the problem could be in the font you are using in the drawing and how it is interpreted by PDF viewer.

But at first I want to ask you: have you installed all updates to AutoCAD 2017 for Mac from here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-for-...

If you have not installed the Updates - try to install them and then test PDF output.

The next question is:

Which font you are using in your drawing? Is it one of the standard macOS (or AutoCAD) fonts or third-party font?

And the last is:

How do you output to PDF from AutoCAD? Are you using Print - Save as PDF combination, or Export to PDF, or Batch Publish?

Can you attach your drawing here?

Maxim
