Snap to Hatch

Even after changing "OSOPTIONS" system variable, AutoCAD still won't snap to a hatch corner. Suggestions? 

Command line process:

Command: OSOPTIONS
Enter new value for OSOPTIONS <7>: 2
Command: REGEN

Please check undocumented OSNAPHATCH system variable. It should be 1 when you set OSOPTIONS=2 or OSOPTIONS=0

I don't know why, but AutoCAD for Mac online Help doesn't mention one more bit code for OSOPTIONS - 4 (Object snaps ignore endpoints of dimension extension lines). Check out this help topic for AutoCAD for Windows:

Thanks for the reply @maxim_k . OSNAPHATCH system variable was already set a 1. And tried again OSOPTIONS=2 or OSOPTIONS=0 but no luck. Interesting.

Can you illustrate which corner of the hatch you can't snap to?

@maxim_k Sure! Attached you see the system variables and the hatch itself. The first screen shot is showing the snap not working correctly.

Hi @zleapple ,

As I see from your screenshot, you are trying to use object snap to Hatch object boundary , but tis is not possible.

When OSNAPHATCH=1, you can snap to the elements that form the Hatch object (lines).

In your case you want to snap to the Hatch object boundary with Solid hatch pattern and this is not possible in AutoCAD.

To be able to snap to Hatch boundary, you need to recreate the boundary with HATCHEDIT command -> RECREATE BOUNDARY button on Hatch Edit window.

Or with "Create boundary" button on Hatch Visor (you need to select Hatch object:

When the new boundary will be created, you can use Object Snap to snap to it.
