Shut down while editing page setup

Hello everybody,

i am using AutoCAD 2015 on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.12.1.

Everytime i want to edit the page setup AutoCAD shuts down immediatly. All printers are working well, all drivers are updated, i just have this problem while using the page setup in AutoCAD. Simply printing also works well, it just happens when i try to change a value.

Does somebody know what to do or try next?

Thanks for your help,

Michael

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Which Mac model do you have?
Is it a new one with Touchbar?

Michael,

There was the same issue with AutoCAD 2017, but it was fixed recently with Hotfix 1 fot it.
Not sure if in your case it is really the same issue related to the new Macbook Pro with Touchbar, but if it is, than you need to wait for the Hotfix for 2015 version.
If you are student, than maybe you can upgrade AutoCAD to 2017 version for free.

BTW,

Have you installed the last Update for AutoCAD 2015 which makes it compatible with macOS Sierra?

Hello Maxim,

thanks for your replay.

AutoCAD says it is updated to the newest version. And i just found update 3 for 2015 which supports OS X 10.11 El Capitan. My colleague has exactly the same problem. Same hardware and same software.

I am using an educational version, but as a teacher, not a student. And 2017 version is not available for Mac OS, is it?

Sounds like we have to wait for the 2015 hotfix. Do you know when it will be released?

Here is the link to Update 4 for AutoCAD 2015 for Mac which resolves compatability issues with Sierra :

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-2015...

You need to install it and test page setup.

And - yes, 2017 version is available on Mac.

Thanks for the link, but it was already installed.

I will ask for the 2017 version. Maybe it works.

Thank you again for time and advice,

Michael

Hello Michael,

I am wondering if you ever found a resolve for this issue?

I am having the same problems with my AutoCad 2015 Student version on a 2017 MacBook Pro with the touch bar. I have the latest version of AutoCad 2015 installed as well.

Thank you,

Carly

Hey Carly,

yes i did. And it's pretty simple. You just have to install the latest version, 2017 works very well.

Best, Michael
