Shortcuts for specific snap

Shortcuts for specific snap

Hi,

After many years working on Autocad PC I try to configure my Mac interface to preserve my efficiency.

I used a combination keys on PC for the differents Object snap, that I can't transpose on MAC.

For example inside a command "line", I'd tape :

- CTRL + SHIFT + Y to start from the middle of an existing line (as if I'd tape "MID")

- CTRL + SHIFT + E to connect to the perpendicular point on another line (="PER")

I tried to add these commands in the Apps Shortcuts of System preferences but it doesn't work.

Thank to anyone who could help me about this very useful setting.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi arlesia,

Such kind of customization officially is not supported in AutoCAD for Mac.
Maybe it is possible to do something by editing AcceleratorRoot.cui in "/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/AutoCAD 2019.app/Contents/Resources/" folder, but I'm not sure exactly.

On Mac you can use:
SHIFT+E - to force ENDpoint OSNAP
SHIFT+Q - to force QUAdrant OSNAP
SHIFT+C - to force CENter OSNAP
SHIFT+M - to force MIDpoint OSNAP
SHIFT+D - to disable OSNAP
I think, that is all.

Sorry, I was not correct in my previous post.
Temporary overrides are stored in OverrideRoot.cui file inside "/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/AutoCAD 2019.app/Contents/Resources/" folder.
And yes, it is possible to enable object snap override keys (SHIFT+Letter) by editing that file.
