Ribbon Display

I cannot locate a link to the ribbon display on AC release 15.  There is an icon menu on the left side of the screen, which I would like to convert to a ribbon across the top.

If I type in ribbon on the command line I get a dialog of ribbon choices which do not respond when clicked.

The icon line on the bottom right does not contain a workspace selector.

Can you help?

Hello David, and welcome to the Forums!

Can you please take a screenshot of your AutoCAD window and attach it to the post?

Also, have you installed any Service Packs?

Thanks for the welcome.  That's quite a nice touch.

I have not installed any service packs.  Enclosed is the screen shot of my opening window.  Thanks for taking a look

Hi,

>> I cannot locate a link to the ribbon display on AC release 15

You are using an AutoCAD for Mac, afaik the Mac release of AutoCAD does not have ribbons (>>>some info<<< about differences Windows and Mac version of AutoCAD).

David;

Well, the first thing I noticed is that this is AutoCAD 2016, and the second thing is that it is a MAC!

This is the AutoCAD for Windows forum, so I am going to have the moderator move this post over to the AutoCAD MAC forum for you after we answer your question!

In the meantime, can you please give us some info:

What are your machine stats and exact OS version?

Then we should be able to get you taken care of.

Hi David;

I have found a couple of links to Forum posts that might help get you started:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-general/help-getting-classic-toolbars-menus-to-work-o...

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-2013-2014-2015-2016/autocad-2016-does-it-support-the-classic-...

Beyond that, maybe some of our more MAC conversant Experts out there could chime in with more information!

Hi David,

AutoCAD for Mac has it's own interface and Ribbon is not avaliable in AutoCAD for Mac. It has only vertical Tool Sets palette and you cannot change its orientation.
