Problems with file protections

Why when I go to open some dwg files on the Mac does it tell me “view read only, file write protected”, and then I go to look at the general information about the file and it says “You can read and write”?

If you mean "Info" window, then verify that file is not locked like in this screenshot:

Please also tell us where these files are located.
