Problem creating PDFs

Hello,

I have just had to re-install my hard drive and full back up and re-load AutoCAD LT 2014 on my MAC (running El Capitan).

Cad running fine but when I try to create a PDF instead of a paper print it just won't work.

I can make PDF's in Word but not AutoCAD

It was fine before the computer died and had to have everything re-installed.... anyone any ideas ?

Thanks Andy

Hi @Anonymous,

I tired to test your problem on my system but was unable to reproduce the issue.

Do you have all the service packs applied

Also does it happen with all files even new ones?

Hello Emmsleys

Thanks for your reply .... having re-installed AutoCAD LT completely should I delete and re-install Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader ?

What's frustrating me is that it was all perfectly fine before !

Any advice welcome. All I want to do is make PDF's of drawings that i can send to customers .... it shouldn't be that difficult !

Do you know another way / programme for making PDF's ?

Thanks for any advice,

Andy

Happy to help. Lets see I don't think uninstalling and reinstalling will hurt at this point.

I would go ahead and try that. I'm trying to follow along with your workflow as well to see if I can create a similar problem.

Let me try a few things and I will post back shortly.

Andy,

Do you get any other errors when you try to export to PDF?

Is the behavior that when you attempt to export to PDF AutoCAD freezes?

Hi,

At first you need to ensure you have installed all Updates to AutoCAD 2014 in order to let it go correctly under El Capitan.

Than - if you are using custom paper sizes in page setups inside your old drawings or in templates you are using to create new drawings, you need to recreate custom paper sizes in new OS X installation, or you need to reconfigure paper sizes in page setups in all of your drawings.

Hi Maxim & Emmsleys

Thanks to both of you for your help and suggestions.

I deleted and re-installed all my Adobe suite and it did the trick.

Thanks again !

Andy
