Printing Layout problem

Hi everyone,

This issue is driving me crazy:

When Printing a layout through the paperspace I set up the parameters for my print, paper size, orientation, page set up, area to print, plot style, everything.

When I go to preview the print and then go to close that page (whether its minimize or close), once that is closed the entire printing parameters have gone back to default and I have to start again.

I've just recently switched from Windows to Mac and this problem ws not an issue on my Windows AutoCAD version. This is AutoCAD 2015.

If anyone could help, this would be greatly appreciated as what is normally a thirty second task is now a 5 minute task!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

I think the point is that you are using "Last Using Settings" in Presets drop-down list below the Printer drop-down in Print window.

In order to change the behavior you need to change Presets settings to "Default settings" and pick on Print button - you will get settings you adjusted just before you pick Preview button. Now if you will pick on Print button the Presets option for the printer will be changed to "Default settings" when you will open Print dialog next time.
And with "Default settings" option changes you will make in Print dialog will not reset after you pick "Preview" button.

I also advice you to use Named Page Setups in the printing process - you can create them in Page Setup Manager and than use in Print window.
