Print save as PDF creating hidden file attribute

Extremely irritating behaviour recently. Running LT on a Mac, and every now and then, saving a print as a PDF results in generating a file with the "hidden" attribute. This therefore doesn't show in Finder.

To see the file I have to use the Apple user hostile 10 finger and toe "short cut"; but that's not the point. I can't seem to

(a) change the attribute to "nohide" or render permanently visible

(b) the issue seems totally random from the LT end....

Any help would save pulling out what's left of my hair.

I probably ought to add I am saving to Pcloud drive.

@Anonymous your LT for MAC year version is...?
Your MacOS version is...?

Can you show us the issue by sharing at least your PDF?

LT 2023 version T.53.M.300

MacOS Monterey version 12.6.5

Can't see how it's Mac related, since have been using LT and Mac since 2016 - only in the last couple of months this has started happening.

Cannot share PDF as its confidential, BUT I saved a layer combination of the same drawing without issue, the 2nd combination was hidden, the 3rd and 4th combinations were all OK.

Since it happens on the top one, try one of the others to see if the problem reoccurs.

... but why would the 2nd of 4 prints only be affected? The page setup is saved, so no formatting changes were made between the attempts; the file names emulated previous ones (which all saved without issue) with but a "V2" moniker; each of these 4 PDF files were created within a minute of each other and only the 2nd misbehaves - and repeatedly (over 6 reruns), even if I add "V2a" in the name it saves as a hidden file!! A version without "V2" in the title saved fine on 23rd March!!

Ok - saved with same name but "V3" using high quality print and NOT hidden. But this is just a workaround not a solution really is it?

Why the inconsistency?

Well at least with this test that fixes the issue at hand. I would also continue to test the other remaining pdf printers to see what their results are and then finally come back to the first one to see if the problem still occurs.

You are very welcome. Now in the end of all the testing and you’ve narrowed down to the first pdf printer is the only one with the problem it’s possible that pc3 file got corrupted. Perhaps others here can post a compatible Mac version for you to replace your corrupted one to fix that issue.

Something changed with your setup: looks like you identified the problem as one single PDF driver, so now you need to find out what changed with it and/or your setup. Sadly remote help over here is never going to reveal the issue.

Can't see how it's Mac relate...

We don't know you nor your setup, 50% of the issues posted around here end up being AutoCAD/LT is not fully updated or is in an unsupported MacOS, or how exactly the PDF was created within those variations.

FWIW no one here wants your top secret files: we just need to see the problem in action here in the public forum you opted to post in to seek assistance: creating a test DWG file and creating a test PDF from it to see if your problem is easily reproducible by you and us is key to diagnosing an issue when seeking remote help.

50% of the time you end up figuring out the issue with such a test outside of those project files. Sometimes we over here find it. Worth doing if you are still stumped by the problem.
