Help please!

I've new to Auto cad (LT for Mac 2015)  and am trying to print black and white . It will only do colour at the moment.

I understand that this will involve "plot style tables" and "vp plot style" , but when I import an existing drawing from a previous version Autocad 13 the plot style tables don't seem to come with it. The properties inspector says "plot table type: not available".

Am I supposed to download plot styles from somewhere?

All I want is a colour plot style (which does grey scale) and a black and white plot style:

Thanks for your support

Matt.

Hi Matt,

Plot Style tables are independent from the drawing, you need to copy them to your Mac manually.

You can use one of the standard Plot Styles, which you can assign from Page Setup window:

If you don't see the right side of Page Setup window, you need to expand it with small round button on the bottom right of Page Setup window.

Hi Maxim,
thank you.
I can now see the expanded page setup manager with plot styles associated.
I've clicked on "monochrome.stb" . Fine
But when I look at the Layers at "vp plot style" or "plot style" for a layer it doesn't show Monochrome.stb as a choice ?

Matt.

If you are using Named plot style in your drawing (.STB plot style table), than you assign monochrome.stb plot still table to layouts in Page setup manager, you should be able to select "Style1" from the list of the default plot styles:

This will assign "black" colour to the objects on the layer (if they have plot style "by layer" assigned):

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

You need to expand Page Setup window to be able to see Plot Style table selection list:

After expanding you will see:

2015-11-13 08-19-23 Page Setup.png

Than pick on Plot Style table dropdown and select 'Reveal in Finder":

2015-11-13 08-20-24 OtherViews.png

this will bring Finder window with Plot styles folder in it, open this folder and add .CTB files to it.

Other way is to add the folder with your custom plot styles to Plot Style Table search path in AutoCAD preferences:
