Plot and Publish Job Complete Dialog

Hi all

I think I know what the answer is going to be to my question however......

Is there any way of turning off the really annoying "Plot and Publish Job Complete" dialog that appears after printing/plotting?

For me, this dialog is completely useless and always sits on top of other windows, meaning I have to manually close the dialog each and every time.

I'm hoping there is a system variable I can switch to OFF, but I'm guessing not.

Any one on the AutoCAD for Mac Team care to add a toggle in the Preferences to remove this annoyance??

Thanks in advance

David

Hi David,

It seems that in AC for Mac you cannot control the appearance of this window with legal methods, like in PC version of AutoCAD where you can uncheck "Enable balloon notification" for print job.
Nevertheless, I found a way to get rid of these notifications, but it is associated with changing files inside AutoCAD application bundle. Are you sure you want to know how to make such changes?

Maxim

Hi David,

As mentioned by Maxim, it is not possible to turn off the notification in MAC. Smiley Frustrated

I think this would be a good addition to AutoCAD for MAC and would suggest you post this very request to the feedback link: Product Feedback

Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.

Yes please 🙂 It is annoying because it blocks input while the window is visible. I am used to editing packages if you could show me what needs to be changed.

Thanks,

Russell

Rename AcInfoBalloonPalette.nib file.
It is inside /Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/AutoCAD 2019.app/Contents/Resources/Base.lproj folder.
But keep in mind that this will also disable all other "balloon" notifications in AutoCAD, including xref notifications.

Autodesk really need to either disable this annoying dialog or have an
option/toggle to turn it off permanently. This is my most annoying feature
of AutoCAD for Mac. I'm surprised no one else seems bothered by it.

Hi Maxim,

I'd really like to know how to do this. I have no issue altering files in the application bundle if you could point me in the right direction.

Many Thanks.

Edit: Just saw the details above, don't know why it wasn't visible previously.

Actually renaming the file didn't work. It still shows that pop-up. Anything else I can try?

Which AutoCAD version do you have?

Have you restarted AutoCAD?

Post screenshot of renamed file in Finder, like this one:2019-01-21_22-45-52.png

Autocad for Mac 2018 and I tried renaming and deleting the file but the plot complete box still pops up.

On my side this trick works fine.
BTW - you haven't posted screenshots I asked in my previous post.

Does just deleting it work? I kinda do not have the file anymore to rename it...lol...but I swear I renamed it before deleting it. I did not add an additional extension though. I changed it too old.nib.Screen Shot 2019-01-23 at 3.51.43 PM.png

Do you have only one autoCAD version installed on your Mac?
