When I copy an object in one drawing in Autocad for Mac 2025, it pastes as mtext in the other drawing. I want to paste the object and not Mtext. How can I achieve that? Thanks!!

Hi @CarlosMReis ,
Did you experience this problem immediately after installing AutoCAD on your Mac?
How do you copy - paste object in AutoCAD? Please provide the exact steps.
Do you have any keyboard manager on your Mac?
Have you tried to restart AutoCAD?
Restart your Mac?
Reset AutoCAD?
Hi Maxim,
Thank you for getting back to me. I've been experiencing this issue since AutoCAD for Mac 2025. I've reinstalled Autocad and restarted my Mac multiple times, but the problem persists. I don't have any keyboard managers installed.
Here are the steps I follow:
1. Select solid/object and then press Cmd+C in drawing1.
2. Switch to drawing2.
3. Press Cmd+V in drawing2.
Thank you for your help.
Have you tried to create new (temporary) account on your Mac using "Users and Groups" section of macOS Settings:
login to tis new account and test copy-paste?
It seems to me that you could have permission problems in your account on Mac.
Hi Pendean,
Thank you for your reply.
When I say "object," I mean anything like solid, polyline, etc. It doesn't work with any type.
I'll copy (Cmd+C) from drawing1 and then when I paste it into drawing2, it just comes in as mtext with some file information.
I use Acadiso3D.dwt template
I have attached a photo.
Thank you for your help
Hi Maxim
As suggested, I created another user account and it works fine.
How can I restore permissions in my original account?
Thank you

This means you only copied the name of the object, not the content (and from a temp folder too)
Can you show us in screenshots or video your entire FROM an TO process?
And where do you store all of these DWG files?

When you copy something from AutoCAD drawing to clipboard, AutoCAD creates temporary DWG file with random name and puts it to the /TMP folder on your Mac. When you paste the contents of clipboard to another drawing, AutoCAD actually pastes exploded block, created from that temporary drawing.
Looks like for some reason AutoCAD cannot write to or read the contents of the /TMP folder.

Sorry, but I have no solution to this problem, I have never faced such issue.
At first you need to check if the temporary file appears in /TMP folder after you copy something from the drawing.
You can try to search Google.
Thank you all for your support.
I am going to set up the new user as the primary user because AutoCAD works there. I just need to configure everything for the new user and it'll be fine.
I discovered the issue - it was caused by an app called Pure Paste that was running in the background. This app was interfering with the copy/paste function in AutoCAD. After uninstalling Pure Paste, everything started working perfectly again. Thank you for all your support.

This is what I asked about >>>>here<<<<
If you need this app - try to find a way to exclude AutoCAD from Pure Paste. Usually such apps have an ability to exclude some applications.
