New page set up crashes AutoCAD for Mac 2015

Anytime, I try to change the page set up from the regular 8.5x11 to any other pages from the list autoCAD keeps crashing. I would like to print on ledger or larger sheet. Please help!

Make sure you choose a printer first and make sure that printer exists (or is built-into AutoCAD).  Then choose the page size.

A printer is selected but the problem persists.

Have you tried:

1. Restart AutoCAD  If that doesn't solve it.
2. Reboot your computer.  If that doesn't solve it,
3. Reinstall AutoCAD.  If that doesn't solve it, it might be time to get a new printer.

I'm just checking in to see if you need more help with this. Did the last suggestion that @dbroad provided work for you?

• If not, we may be able to help more if you tell us a bit about your setup:
• Which version of AutoCAD Architecture (2018, 2017, etc.)?
• Which operating system (Windows 7, 10, etc.)?
• Which printer are you having trouble with?
• Can you switch the page size for the default AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation) and plot to PDF without crashing?

Hi, The solution provided did not help. My AutoCad crashes if I select any paper size other than US Letter, unless I manually set up the page size. Even I do set up the page size manually the first time it crashes but once its part of the custom sizes I can select it.

I am using AutoCad 2015 version on Mac OS Sierra.

It looks like this might be an issue that's resolved by updates for AutoCAD for Mac 2016 and 2017. Take a look at the following links which might help:

Hi @Anonymous,

Which printer do you have installed on your Mac? I like to use a large format printer (HP Pagewide is my current choice).  With this driver I am able to create different papersizes without issue.  I no longer have 2015 installed but I don't recall having this problem on Sierra with this driver installed as the "default" printer.
