Monochrome is printing colors

Anonymous

Hi.

I study architecture in Highschool.

I am using Autocad 2015 on a mac, I set the page setup manager to print on monochrome.stb

when printing, the colors are not black and white like suppose to be, they have the layers colors.

also, when trying to set the scale in the layout to be 1:50, its really small and on the example our teacher gave us its very large (used the same measurements)

sorry if you didn't understand my english is not the best XD

Thanks!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Micha,

Please verify that you assigned plot style with new "Style1" and not "Normal" to the Layers in the drawing. You can use Layers palette for this.
And about scale issue: it could be so that you are using measurement units in Model space different from teachers. For example, in teacher's drawing one unit equals 1 mm and in your drawing one unit is 1 m.

Every time I try to change the plot style to "style1" and press ok, it changes it back to normal.

Please verify that you have installed all Updates for AutoCAD 2015.
If I'm not mistaken, there was a bug in 2015 version which prevents from changing named plot style in the Layers palette.
You can also try to use command line version of -LAYERS command (with dash before command name) to change plot style name for all layers.

You need to change plot style in the Layers palette like in this picture:

Try with -LAYER command. Here is Command window input:
Command: -LAYER
Current layer: "0"
Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/PStyle/Freeze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]: ps
Enter Plot Style Name or [?] <Normal>: Style 1
Enter name list of layer(s) for plot style name Style 1 <0>: *
Enter an option [?/Make/Set/New/Rename/ON/OFF/Color/Ltype/LWeight/TRansparency/MATerial/Plot/PStyle/Freeze/Thaw/LOck/Unlock/stAte/Description/rEconcile]:
Command:

Or - Can you attach your drawing here?
