HI there.
I work for a firm that used PC exclusively (except myself). So far, the Mac version of autocad has worked fine for my situation.
When I send my work to colleagues for QC, they crash after a few minutes. It usually happens during a COPY command.
ERROR reads:
INTERNAL ERROR
!autoedit.cpp@4866:eWasOpenForWrite
AutoCAD then crashes, and needs reboot. Its happened on multiple PC computers now, so I assume something is wrong with the file from the MAC.
I have tried different files created on MAC, all seem to do it. I did setup a custom printer configuration so I could plot as the MAC does not allow for DWG to PDF plotter (like pc does). Curious if that could be the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
What version of AutoCAD do your colleagues use?
What kind of objects they attempt to copy? Does it happened after selecting some objects for copy, or just when they simply call COPY command?
Maxim
I am using MAC 2012, they mostly use 2011.
All the work is saved in 2004 format to preserve compatibility with older machines.
It happens when they copy elements, but nothing specific. There is not much consistency with whats going on, except it happens when a copy is made. Not always the first copy.
Thanks for your input.
Copy elements?
Did you mean blocks?
Could you post one of the problem files here, or send it to mkanaev at yandex.ru ?
Maxim
By elements I meant lines and shapes.
This is just a 2d rendering, nothing to exciting.
I sent you a copy of the corrupt file. I really appreciate you taking th etime to talk with me.
Thanks
After private discussion (sorry, we were very keen and did not write here) the solution was found:
it was necessary to install Updates to AutoCAD for Windows.
After updating AutoCAD 2011 for Win with SP 1.1 and SP 2 the crashes go away.
