How to disable Print Completion Notifications and Plot Log files

Hi there

Anybody know how to disable plot job completion balloon notifications in Autocad for Mac? I have searched and found a solution for the PC version but there is no tray settings option for the Mac version.

I'd also like to turn off the plot.log file that is saved, but again can only track down guidance for PC versions.

Cheers!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @KevinFellows ,

There is no official way to disable it, but you can try >>>>this<<<< workaround.

The path to AcInfoBalloonPalette.nib file depend on AutoCAD for Mac version, and in general it looks like:

/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 20xx/AutoCAD 20xx.app/Contents/Resources/Base.lproj/

>>>>>I'd also like to turn off the plot.log file

On Mac you can find the toggle for Plot.log file here:

Use menu File > Batch Publish... to open Batch Publish window, then select Plot Stamp settings button.

Thanks Maxim, that's great. I renamed the .nib file as you highlighted with .ttt as the extension and it seems to have solved the pop up. I also tweaked the plot stamp preferences, so far so good! Cheers 🤞😎

Hi, I'm a new user of AutoCAD for Mac, and I came here looking for a way to turn off the plot notification balloon. So the thing is that it seems there is no access to this file AcInfoBalloonPalette.nib anymore. There is no Contents folder under the app (there is nothing actually), and I do have hidden files turned on. The hard drive search doesn't find this file either.
I'm on the latest version of AutoCAD LT for Mac. Oh, maybe that's because it's LT??

Hi @moneumiko ,

AcInfoBalloonPalette.nib file is still there in 2024 and 2025 versions of AutoCAD for Mac:

I cannot check in LT version, because I don't have access to it, but I believe it should be there too.

Look at the screenshots, no AcInfoBalloonPalette.nib to be found, and there are no further folders under the Autocad.app.

@moneumiko ,

In macOS all applications are actually folders.

To get inside application folder - right-click on it and select "Show package contents", then you can navigate inside application folder as usual:

Be careful with modifications inside application folder! You can damage application itself.

Yeeey! Found it, and it worked!! Thank you so much. (I didn't know about the option 'show package contents', I'm new to macOS!)
