holding shift no longer toggles ortho mode on/off

Hi there!

I'm having an issue where toggle mode does not turn on/off by holding down the shift key. It has always worked for me. Not sure if I have perhaps accidentally changed a setting, but was wondering if anyone had this similar issue before? I am using autocad 2023.

Hi Chris,

What macOS version do you have on your Mac?

If it is Ventura - have you installed the last Update?

If you installed it - verify TEMPOVERRIDES system variable - it should be equal to 1.

If TEMPOVERRIDES=1 - have you tried to Reset AutoCAD?

I got a new laptop, shift does not toggle ortho on it. I think it has something to do with how the keyboard is setup with an additional function key. When I plugged in a separate keyboard it worked fine. You can also override the key stroke from "shift" to something like "shift+Z". I read someone else had done this as a work around.
