Hatch freezes the screen

I have ACAD LT 2023 subscription.

Most of the time after I use the hatch command the screen freezes, and I have to use the Task Manager to close ACAD.

How to avoid that problem?

Have you installed the 2023.1.3 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

The update is available only for Mac users (AutoCAD LT for Mac 2023.2.2 Hotfix)

Can I just download ACAD LT 2024 as part of my subscription? Would that fix the problem?

So... did you examine the second portion of my reply with the link to the Autodesk Page that addresses hatches freeing the program?

BTW the MAC forum is over here https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac/ct-p/4051 , we assumed you are not using that platform since you opted to post in here. Oh well.

Yes, 2024s are available to all subscribers, whether that stops your screen from freezing or not, it may not be the solution.

Yes, I did it and have been reading about it, but I am unfamiliar with that stuff. I rather not mess with it.

Being a yearly subscriber, how do I update my ACAD LT 2023 to the 2024 version? I hope that ACAD fixes that problem.

EDIT: So you are afraid to change user-variables and settings in the program? Why? it's why they exist, so they can be changed. You'll screech to a grinding halt in any year version real fast if you you continue with that train of thought. This program is not for the skittish user. You can always reset it if needed too.
