Extracting the XYZ coordinates - no EATTEXT or Dataextraction command?

Hello,

I'm trying to extract the XYZ coordinates from a topographical survey - I'm unable to use the commands suggested on the forums as there is no option for these?

Does anything know how I can carry this out, or equally, could do this for me?

Many thanks,

Jen

Hi Jen,

@jennifermacleay1

In AutoCAD for Mac you can use -EATTEXT command to extract attribute data, informational text associated with a block, into a file.

But there is no blocks with attributes in your drawing, there is one block in your drawing with a lot of POINT objects and TEXT objects near points.

So you cannot use -EATTEXT command in this drawing.

You can extract coordinates of all points in your drawing with AutoLISP routine or with script.

You can find point coordinates, extracted from your drawing inside ZIP archive in CSV format in the attachment.

@jennifermacleay1 ,

You can find AutoLISP routine for point coordinate extraction >>>>HERE<<<<

Don't forget to explode existing "global" block before using this LISP.
