Hi,

I am using Autocad mac 2015 on iMac 27" (Late-2012 , Yosemite 10.10.2)

I can not see the dwg files icons as attached picture below. Can anyone help me how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,
You can try:
- Click one of the DWG files in the Finder.
- Choose File→Get Info (Command+I).
- In the Info window, click the gray triangle to disclose the Open With pane.
- From the pop-up menu, choose AitoCAD 2015.app
- click the Change All button at the bottom of the Open With pane, confirm in the alert box that you want to use AutoCAD 2015.

Maybe you need to restart your Mac. Icons should be correct now.

Hi Maxim,

I tried your advice but nothing changed.
In get Info window already Autocad 2015 is selected.

I have this problem only for dwg Files. Can i change all dwg icons on Mac?

Do you have this issue from the beginning (just after you installed AutoCAD)?

What do you see in DWG file Info box?

Strange that you have correct icon in Info box, but incorrect in Finder.

I also noticed that in Finder you have different icons for .dwg files...

So, I really don't know.

Anyway, you can try this command in Terminal:

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain user;killall Finder;echo "Open With has been rebuilt, Finder will relaunch"

which will rebuild Launch Services database.

Copy the code to Terminal, hit Return and wait until

"Open With has been rebuilt, Finder will relaunch" appears in the Terminal window.

I really don't have any further ideas, seems it is OS, but not AutoCAD problem.
Of course you can try to experiment with this:
If you have another application on your Mac which can open DWG files (make Illustrator or Draftsight), you can try to assign that application via Info dialog as default for opening DWG files. This should change the icon, maybe you need once to use this app to open DWG by double clicking on it in Finder, than you can try to change "Open with" back to AutoCAD.
