Drawing a rectangle comes with a white veryyy thick border around

Hi,

I just made a switch to MAC just recently and having some troubles with Autocad (student version 2024). When I draw a rectangle it doesn't follow my dimensions (also not clickable from the command bar as I am used to doing in PC) for width and length and it also comes with a very thick white board around the perimeter of the rectangle itself.

thanks a lot

when you enter the RECTANG command there should be a Width setting for you to enter 0:

Hi @licoflorian ,

As @paullimapa mentioned, you can set width of the rectangle lines - actually it is the global width of polyline in the drawing - with Width option of RECTANG command.

>>>>>When I draw a rectangle it doesn't follow my dimensions

After you pick the first corner point of the rectangle you can type length value, then press TAB key, then type height value and finish with Return key.

Another way is to use Dimensions option of RECTANG command after you pick the first corner and set length and height of the rectangle.

>>>>also not clickable from the command bar as I am used to doing in PC

Yes, this feature not available on Mac.
