Downloading AutoCAD LT 2017 for PC on an iMac

I just bought an iMac after only ever using a PC. I know I need to put a partition on my iMac to download /WindowsAutoCAD LT 2017 for windows. Any suggestions? Windows 10 pushed me over the limity as far as Windows goes. In your opinion, which Windows version is the best for running AutoCAD? I looked at downloading AutoCAD for Mac but it was like reinventing the wheel, for me, anyways. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forums

Virtual Agent is where you can download software, BUT it only goes up to 2016 and not for Mac either

LT for Mac is up to version 2016.
LT for Windows is up to version 2017.

The MAC is a vastly different look and feel, but IMHO if you bought a MAC why on earth would you hobble it with WIndows? isn't the whole point of you buying a Mac is to get away from Windows? WIndows doesn't become magical on MAC hardware, all the hardware is pretty much all the same these days.

You can probably still buy Win8.1 if WIn10 is not cutting it for you.

I know, I get the whole why hobble the Mac with Windows, even in a
partition. I using AutoCAD very sparingly...I'm apparently one of the last
hand-drawing dinosaurs left. I'd like to someday ram up into AutoCAD full
time, but for now it'll just be sporadic use. I'm still not even entirely
comfortable in AutoCAD LT on a PC and the look of AutoCAD for Mac seems
like starting all over from scratch. I get it, I'm old. 😉

Actually the transition is easy if you totally forget the Windows version altogether.

There are many good online resources to help with the transition, here are a few:
