Detaching PDF - Making All Objects Selectable

Trying to insert a PDF and grab & move the objects within it into new layers.
Is there a command to do this?

Thanks community in advance as I have done this successfully before but can't get it again.
Working in AutoCAD 2015 for reference on Mac.

You cannot edit the contents of a PDF in AutoCAD: is that what you are trying to do?
I'm not sure there is any software that does that either, PDF is not a format where the content can be manipulated.

Hi, that's exactly what I'm trying to do.

Is there not a Detach Command in CAD?

Glad to see that upgrading AutoCAD for MAC to 2018 is an option for you: note that your PDF has to be a vector based PDF for the import to work, not a raster PDF.
The concept is explained here http://visual-integrity.com/faqs/spotting-difference-vector-raster-pdf/
