delay between commands

I just updated my ACAD to 2020 for Mac and after a day of working pretty well, I am experiencing a spinning rainbow wheel delay after almost every command. I am working on a 2011 macbook pro that:

1. was recently updated to macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6

2. has 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 Processor

3. has 16GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory

4. has Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB Graphics

5. has about 40GB of space on my hard drive

I've tried:

A. deleting layer states

B. turning off analytics

C. restarting the computer and software

D. purging files

E. auditing files

(this seems to be happening in all files I am trying to use)

With deadlines looming, I need some real help with this.

Thank you.

There is an update for the 2020 that you probably need to install: go get it from your subscription page's updates link https://manage.autodesk.com/

Restart your computer afterwards.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Earl,
Do you have any blocks on "Recent Blocks" tab of new "Blocks" palette?
If yes, then try to remove them all (right-click -> Clear all).
Do you still have delays?

Yes, that's what I needed too, thought my system was suddenly slowing down.

Cleared out those recent blocks, all is good again.

Thanks.

@maxim_k Maxim, you have saved my mood today, I was going to throw my machine across the room if I got one more beach ball. Thank you!

Fantastic!!! My spinny beachball had been getting progressively more annoying -  I had tried loads of different solutions but this has sorted it instantly!!  Thanks very much for posting Maxim!
