Hello All,

I'm on a newly installed trial version of AutoCAD LT 2017 for Mac and I've installed the latest updates. For some reason the cursor doesn't display at all within the drawing window. Is this a setting I can fix or a bug?

Thanks,

Jason

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Do you have this problem from the beginning?
Are you able to see the crosshairs in Paper space, when you switch to Layout?
What about your hardware? Mac model?
Have you tried to Reset AutoCAD?

Hello and thank you for your quick reply. I was using LT 2017 on the same Mac just fine yesterday and then all of the sudden the cursor just wasn't there when I opened the program this morning. I can't see the cursor at all in paper space or model space. I tried some other solutions posted that didn't work so I uninstalled the program and then reinstalled in but it's still the same issue. I'm on a Mac Airbook - specs attached

Should work on this Mac model.
Do you use external display?
Have you tried to restart your Mac?

It's so weird because it was just working before I shut down last night. I'm not using an external display and nothing changed at all from when it was working. I've restarted and re-installed but nothing is working.

What about Resetting (not reinstalling AutoCAD?

I have seen a lot of complaints about the troubles with AutoCAD 2017 on Yosemite.
Why haven't you updated macOS to the latest version? Are there some reasons to stay on Yosemite?

In the case that you need help to reset to defaults you can use the following steps from this AKN article.

To reset the palettes:

  • Click the Window menu and choose Reset Palettes or enter RESETPALETTES on the command line.

To reset the entire program:

  • Hold down the Shift key while starting AutoCAD for Mac.
  • In AutoCAD for Mac 2015 and newer, you may click the AutoCAD (or AutoCAD LT) menu and choose the option to reset the program.

My apologies for the delay I was onsite doing an asbuilt and traveling for the last few days. Updating my OS did the trick! Thanks!
